The Opportunity

Our client is a top performing ASX listed business. They are known to be one of the best companies to work for in Melbourne. Having expanded their operations nationally and overseas, they are looking to employ a Senior Financial Accountant to sit within their Corporate Affairs division. This presents an outstanding opportunity for a career orientated accountant who is aspiring to take the next step in their career. Our client will also consider applicants who are either Assistant Manager or Manager level Chartered Accountants from the Big 4. 

The Challenge

This role supports the Group Finance Manager of their Governance and Corporate division.
  
Use your finance skill to grow your career with responsibility for: 

  • Financial accounting and reporting
  • Month end process, including the preparation/review of the Group’s income statements, balance sheets and cash flows
  • Prepare the monthly Corporate cash flows
  • Prepare the monthly free cash, ICR and corporate liquidity calculations, including variance analysis
  • Ensure that the general ledger is maintained and all Balance Sheet accounts are fully reconciled in a timely manner for the Corporate entities, including consolidation entries
  • Prepare the Group’s half-year end and annual detailed tax calculation for inclusion in the Group’s financial statements
  • Leading role in the half-year end and annual reporting process, including the preparation and delivery of the Group’s statutory financial statements
  • Daily financial transactions, month end accounting, statutory & financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, management of compliance requirements including involvement in internal and external audits, support to management and business International support
  • Assist in the external audit process, including information gathering and general liaison with audit team to resolve audit queries
  • Assist in internal audit process where required
  • Preparation of the TIML compliance documentation on a quarterly basis
  • Analyse and provide advice to management on the interpretation of accounting standards International support
  • Provide financial support for international offices and investment vehicles as required

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualified with 5+ years relevant experience
  • ACANZ or CPA qualification
  • Exposure to preparation of statutory accounts
  • Exposure to consolidations
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
