The Opportunity 

This opportunity sits within a high-growth, fintech environment that is continuing to scale and evolve. The business is on an exciting growth journey, offering the chance to be part of something dynamic and forward-thinking, where individuals can genuinely make an impact. The role itself is broad in scope, providing exposure across multiple areas of finance and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility over time, including the potential to build out and lead your own team as the function grows. You’ll work closely with a highly collaborative Financial Controller, gaining strong mentorship while contributing to both day-to-day operations and more strategic initiatives.

The Challenge

Reporting into the Financial Controller your responsibilities will involve but not be limited to: 

• Broad, hands-on role across core finance operations in a growing business
• Ownership of month-end processes and preparation of management reporting
• Involvement in transactional finance, including payables and reconciliations
• Responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting system integrity
• Exposure to payroll processes and compliance requirements
• Regular interaction with cashflow, payments, and financial controls
• Opportunity to contribute to process improvements and support business scaling
• Collaborative role working closely with senior finance leadership and wider teams

The Expertise 

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) 
• Proven experience across accounting and financial reporting within a commercial environment
• Strong understanding of Australian compliance requirements and core finance processes
• Systems-savvy with experience using cloud-based accounting platforms and advanced spreadsheet skills
• Experience within a SME or start-up environment is highly desirable 
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
