The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a growing multinational Supply Chain and Logistics business. The Financial Accountant role would suit a chartered accountant who is looking to develop their technical skill set within a multi-entity environment and provide ongoing support to the wider finance operations. This role sits within a close-knit finance team that boasts a vibrant, supportive and collaborative work culture.
The ideal candidate will have a process improvement mindset, as well as a inquisitive nature that will assist them in driving change. The company is an exciting growth phase, with exciting times ahead. The role has the potential to grow and evolve over time, and will suit a candidate that likes taking initiative and question the status quo.
The Challenge
The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller. Responsibilities include:
- Accountable for end to end month end accounting tasks including running financial system processes, balance sheet reconciliations, month end analysis and posting journals.
- Responsible for production, maintenance and continuous improvement of monthly management reporting
- Responsible for regular and ad-hoc reporting of group financial reporting
- Assist with the preparation of annual budget and maintenance of forecasting
- Support the annual statutory audit, income tax return review and other compliance activities
- Assisting and /or driving process improvement initiatives.
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or Finance.
- CA qualification (or close to completion) will be highly regarded.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role, or someone making their first move out of a chartered environment.
- Highly desirable will be an eye for process improvement and ability to adapt to change.
- Demonstrated communication skills and ability to suit a close-knit stable team environment with a warm, open and engaging style.
