The Opportunity
Our client is a global player within the video games industry, recognised as a pioneer in its space. This is a pivotal leadership role, working closely with the founders and executive team, where you will take full ownership of the finance function and play a key role in shaping the business as it continues to grow.
The Challenge
This is a broad position overseeing the groups financial operations, reporting and compliance, the key responsibilities include:
- Preparing financial reports in a timely manner for management and the board
- Optimise and manage the consolidated group and individual divisions’ P&L and cash forecast models and budget setting processes
- Overseeing all financial operations across payroll and superannuation, contractor payments, payroll tax, BAS and IAS, accounts receivable, accounts payable and royalty reporting and game funding and expense recoup tracking
- Maintain and optimise financial month-end processes across multiple entities
- Support investment opportunities, including maintaining and executing financial due diligence, performing ROI and scenario analysis, assessing developer financials, and supporting investment decision-making through financial modelling
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- Ideally, you are a chartered accountant and commenced your career with PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY or a reputable tier 2 firm
- Experience within founder led businesses, ideally you have publishing, media, advertising, design marketing or entertainment experience
- Strong commercial acumen coupled with a hands-on approach to management reporting
- Excellent financial analysis and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Innovative mindset with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency
- Advanced Excel capability and high proficiency in Xero
- Hands-on, self-starting and comfortable operating in a growth environment
