The Opportunity
The Group Financial Controller will be responsible for all matters relating to accounting and finance, taxation, risk and governance and process improvement initiatives. The company has grown considerably over the past two decades and has a pipeline of exciting projects underway in the immediate term. Unlike others in the field, they are in a very strong financial position and are a fully vertically integrated developer.
As an integral member of the leadership team, the Group Financial Controller is actively involved in all material business decisions and will support the Chief Financial Controller in the 2IC capacity.
The Challenge
Reporting into the CFO, the core responsibilities for this role will include:
- Formulation and delivery of an annual finance strategy including planning and analysis, project financial performance, forecast revenue growth and tax planning
- Cashflow management and in particular managing both group and divisional level cashflow and liquidity
- Strategic liaison with key stakeholders including operations managers and other key executives
- Conduct monthly project financial reviews with project teams and business partnering to support decision making
- Responsible for all financial reporting and the financial audit process
- Accurate and timely delivery of management reports and other financial information
- Developing and delivering performance measures (KPIs) for the finance function
- Supporting the CFO in leading and directing the finance teams for the business by mentoring, performance managing and re allocating resources where appropriate
- Actively identifying process improvement opportunities and improving the overall output of the group finance function
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- The appropriate finance skill set with demonstrated experience as a Financial Controller leading teams
- Industry experience in construction and/or property development is essential
- Naturally, you may have commenced your career in a mid-tier or large chartered firm and are CA qualified
- Management experience leading and motivating teams
- Outstanding communication skill and demonstrated business partnering ability
- EstateMaster experience is desired but not essential
