The Opportunity
A leading global FMCG business is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join its high-performing finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, Manufacturing, this role will play a key part in supporting the organisation’s largest manufacturing operation, partnering closely with site leadership to drive performance, provide commercial insight and support strategic decision-making.
This is a highly visible position offering broad exposure across manufacturing operations, budgeting, forecasting, cost management, capital investment and continuous improvement initiatives. The role will suit a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with operational stakeholders and influencing business outcomes beyond the numbers.
The Challenge
As Finance Business Partner, your responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with site leadership to provide financial guidance and support operational decision-making
- Leading the annual budgeting, forecasting and planning processes for the manufacturing site
- Providing insightful analysis on financial and operational performance, identifying risks, opportunities and improvement initiatives
- Monitoring and explaining manufacturing variances across labour, materials, inventory and overhead costs
- Supporting the delivery of accurate month-end and year-end reporting
- Tracking and validating cost optimisation initiatives to ensure delivery against performance targets
- Supporting new product launches through financial analysis and business case development
- Maintaining the accuracy of standard costing and inventory reporting processes
- Collaborating with finance and operational teams across the broader ANZ business to drive reporting consistency and best practice
The Expertise
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
- CA or CPA qualified
- 5+ years’ experience within commercial finance, ideally across manufacturing, FMCG, supply chain or operations finance environments
- Demonstrated experience partnering with operational stakeholders to influence business performance and support commercial decision-making
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial planning experience
- Exposure to manufacturing costing, inventory management, standard costing or operational finance will be highly regarded
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to influence senior operational leaders
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights
- A proactive mindset and the ability to thrive within a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment
- Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system will be highly regarded
- Full Australian working rights required
