The Opportunity

Our client is a global player within the video games industry, recognised as a pioneer in its space. You will work closely with a supportive Finance Manager in a tight-knit team of two, in a broad role supporting the accounting operations across all entities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, motivated individual; you may be someone with 1-2 years’ professional accounting experience or a recent university graduate with proven internship experience looking for your first full-time role. Please note, this is a predominantly remote role with co-working spaces for the business across Melbourne and Sydney. 

The Challenge

Reporting into the Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Working closely with senior stakeholders to support the Group’s monthly reporting 
• Assisting the Finance Manager with the preparation of management reports and forecasts
• Managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable function
• Bank and Credit card reconciliations
• Facilitate payroll processing
• Support the organisation with streamlining systems and processes 

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• You are an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with a strong academic history 
• Ideally 1-2 years’ accounts related experience or completed an accounts focused internship
• You are currently studying or will have the desire to pursue your CA/CPA in future 
• Strong knowledge of Xero and Google Sheets with high attention to detail  
• You’ll be curious, happy to take the initiative to give things a go
• An interest in the video games industry would be advantageous
