The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a Billing Coordinator to join a leading global law firm with a highly regarded Australian presence. As part of a newly established national billing function, you will play a key role in supporting the firm’s revenue operations and partnering closely with Partners, Fee Earners and internal stakeholders.
Working within a collaborative and supportive Finance team, this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced legal billing professional looking to join a globally recognised organisation with genuine long-term growth opportunities.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Billing Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the end-to-end billing process across a portfolio of matters and clients
- Preparing and issuing client invoices accurately and efficiently
- Working closely with Partners and Fee Earners to resolve billing queries and deliver timely outcomes
- Managing WIP reviews, billing adjustments and complex reconciliations
- Supporting e-billing processes and ensuring compliance with client requirements
- Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies and client queries
- Maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple offices
- Identifying process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and service delivery
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- Previous billing experience within a law firm / professional services environment
- Strong understanding of WIP management and billing processes
- Experience managing complex billing requirements and stakeholder relationships
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
- Experience using finance systems such as SAP will be highly regarded
- Intermediate Excel skills and strong systems confidence
