The Opportunity

Our client is a top-tier international consulting firm with a rich history in Australia. Considered a true market leader, they are widely recognised for continually achieving outstanding results for their clients. Due to their success over the past year and continued growth, they are looking for a financial accountant to join the team on an initial 12 month contract.

The Challenge
 
Reporting directly to the finance manger, the accountant will be responsible for all aspects of financial accounting including the month end process, management reporting and financial analysis.

Specifically your responsibilities will include: 

  • Completion of month-end accounting tasks to ensure the timely reporting of all financial information to align with internal controls and statutory requirements
  • Completion of general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with the preparation of appropriate financial reports
  • Preparing BAS, PAYG instalments and FBT returns
  • Completing activities associated with fixed assets 
  • Preparing year-end financials as well as annual external audit preparation
  • Managing the delivery of specific projects that focus on company strategy and growth 

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

  • CA/CPA qualified
  • 4+ years accounting experience, either gained in a chartered environment within business services or a similar industry 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong excel skills
  • A desire to progress your career
