The Opportunity

Our client is an ASX industry leader with a Melbourne head office. They have a reputation for being at the forefront of their respective industry. 

This is a newly re-jigged role which will allow the right individual to lead the FP&A function and work in conjunction with the senior finance leaders and broader ELT in shaping the strategic direction and performance of the business.

This person will lead the group budgeting and forecasting process as well as support matters relating to investor relations, property, capital markets and corporate development.

The Challenge

You will lead the FP&A function and work closely with the executive team and will be encouraged to challenge company decisions and provide actionable insights to drive change.

Specifically, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Performance against forecast analysis
  • Coordinating the budgeting and forecasting process across the group 
  • Identifying performance trends and risk areas while maintaining suitable financial models
  • Proactively review pricing and network performance to identify opportunities for review generation and profit maximization 
  • Support with the preparation of information to be shared with the Executive Committee and Board
  • Prepare ASX presentations including annual & half year, AGM & Investor presentations 
  • Supporting with the effective integration of project impacts into the planning and reporting processes
  • Assist in Corporate Development activity, including M&A.

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

  • Preferably, you are a CA and started your career with EY, PwC, KPMG or Deloitte and have since worked in industry for 18 months+, most likely in a top ASX company
  • Possibly, you at Associate Director/ Senior Manager level at EY, PwC, KPMG or Deloitte in TS, Deals or Advisory and are looking for your first move out into industry 
  • Preferably, you will have group FP&A experience in an ASX company and/ or have lead or managed an FP&A function for a reputable company
  • Strong financial modelling experience with excellent excel skills
  • The interpersonal skills to mix it up with key executives in operations whilst also having the ability to present at the highest level in a global environment
