The Opportunity

The business is seeking a senior qualified accountant that is passionate about their career and ambitious about gaining experience with a reputable organisation. You will work closely with the Head of Finance and Finance Manager in supporting them with a broad range of financial responsibilities as well as project work. This role also offers the unique opportunity to up-skill and gain people management experience.

The Challenge

As a critical member of the finance team this position will report to the Financial Controller. Your responsibilities will include;

  • Managing the month end process to ensure it is compliant with deadlines
  • Performing general ledger and account reconciliations, and the provision of guidance to team members regarding the resolution of technical issues
  • Participate in the establishing of annual budgets, cash flows and balance sheets. 
  • Assist with the application of IFRS standards in particular 9,15 and 16
  • Support the preparation of monthly, half-year and full-year reports and financial statements including variance analysis
  • Ensure that cash flow reporting is up to date

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or CPA with experience working in KPMG, PWC, Deloitte or EY being preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience
  • Thorough understanding of reconciliation processes, audit and accounting principles 
  • Ability to review, recommend and implement improvements and changes
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with senior stakeholders across the business
