The Opportunity

This role presents a great opportunity for someone who is looking to progress into a newly created senior project accounting position. The opportunity offers a variety of challenges and looking to drive the growth of this area in the wider finance team. 

The Challenge

This role reports directly to the CFO and incorporates a broad range of responsibilities and stakeholder management. The role will require a highly versatile and ambitious candidate looking to challenge themselves and the processes in place to help drive efficiencies within a high performing finance team.

Specifically, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Capital projects management including strategic planning, review of proposals and budgets and business cases
  • Drive capital works process improvements through design of business processes, asset management tools and templates 
  • Business partner with the Asset Management team and ensure operational areas of the business have financial oversight of the long term capital works program and drive future planning
  • Provide the timely provision of accurate, high quality capital works reporting and financial advice to support the administration and monthly review of asset transactions

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

  • Accounting qualification completed, either CA or CPA 
  • Experience within the construction and/or engineering backgrounds 
  • Proven ability in budgeting, reporting and capitalisation of works projects
  • The presence to influence both financial and non financial stakeholders and the ability to build rapport easily 
  • Demonstrated understanding of the project lifecycle as well as long-term asset planning
