The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity to work for a leading Australian FMCG business. The company continues to dominate the sector in which they operate and is looking to further extend their competitive advantage and dominate the market. Our client is looking to employ a Senior Accountant to help drive the financial and management reporting function for the group.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be playing a key role in supporting the financial accounting team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Ownership and delivery of monthly Board packs
- Completing month end accounting tasks to ensure the timely reporting of all financial information to align with internal controls and statutory requirements
- Primary contact for the statutory financial audit
- Monthly variance analysis and budgeting support
- Assist with completion of Annual Budget and periodic forecasts
- CAPEX Analysis for Board Pack
- Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing the appropriate financial reports for the business
- Providing ad hoc support to the broader finance team as required
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- You are a CA/CPA with 5+ years’ experience
- Possibly looking to make the first move out of audit into industry, or alternatively you may have 1-2 years experience in industry already;
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Working knowledge of a variety of reporting and analytical applications
