The Opportunity
  
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established commercial property business with a diversified portfolio spanning property development and investment.
  
Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you’ll gain exposure to development accounting, property portfolio reporting and a broad range of financial accounting activities. With a varied workload across multiple areas of the business, you’ll have the opportunity to further develop your accounting experience.
  
  
The Challenge
   
As an Accountant, some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with month-end reporting, reconciliations and general accounting activities
• Preparing financial reports, journals and maintaining accurate financial records
• Processing accounts payable, payment runs and bank reconciliations
• Supporting development accounting activities, including job costing and monthly claims
• Assisting with investor reporting, distributions and tenant billing
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance and audit preparation
• Liaising with internal stakeholders to support day-to-day finance operations

   
The Expertise
   
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

• Degree-qualified in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
• 2-4 years’ experience in a broad accounting role, with exposure to month-end processes and financial reporting
• CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion
• Previous experience within the property or construction sector will be highly regarded
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience using a property accounting system will be highly regarded
