The Opportunity

Perfect opportunity for a dynamic, qualified accountant to grow their career in the events and entertainment space. Our client is a market leader in their field and due to structural changes and organic growth have created a new role in the team. 

If you have 4-7 years of experience, started your career in audit or business services and are looking to move in to a broad dynamic role and business, this will be an excellent role for you. 

The Challenge

Reporting into the CFO, your key responsibilities will include:

• Assist the Senior Accountant and CFO with monthly forecasting and annual budget
• Month end processes including recognition, cost tracking and reconciliations
• Review results to understand variances between actuals and targets, working with the operational finance team to report on key metrics.
• Provide assistance to the CFO on a range of issues from accounting advice to financial systems support
• Monthly cashflow reporting and planning.
• Assist with yearly audits.
• Ad hoc finance related decision support and innovative solutions to the finance functions.

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in accounting
• You are CA/CPA qualifications or equivalent. Ideally you started your career in a reputable chartered firm and have since made your first move. Alternatively, you are working in a multinational business looking to make a move into a more dynamic interesting business. 
• You have outstanding excel skills  
• Strong conceptual understanding and analytical ability 
• Organised with the ability to prioritise, identify processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal
