The Opportunity
Join a well-established investment firm as Financial Accountant. Working closely with the Executive team and key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth financial operations, strong governance, and accurate reporting across a complex group of entities.
The Expertise
- Supporting end-to-end financial accounting and reporting across a complex group of private investment entities, family companies and trusts.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and general ledger maintenance.
- Preparing management accounts, financial reporting and analysis to support investment and operational decision-making.
- Managing bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
- Supporting statutory reporting requirements, annual financial statements, tax compliance and external audit processes.
- Assisting with investment accounting and reporting, including portfolio reconciliations, investment income tracking and performance reporting.
- Assisting with trust accounting requirements, distributions and maintaining accurate supporting documentation.
- Partnering with senior stakeholders and external advisors to ensure strong governance, financial controls and reporting accuracy.
- Supporting cash flow reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes across the group.
- Maintaining and enhancing finance systems, reporting processes and data integrity.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, automate reporting and strengthen financial operations.
- Assisting with reporting across a diversified portfolio of investments and operating businesses.
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest if you possess the following:
- CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion).
- Experience within Business Services, Private Business, Private Clients, Family Office or Advisory teams within a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm.
- Solid understanding of Australian tax, trusts, and related party transactions
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills, with exposure to Acumatica or similar systems.
