The Opportunity
Our client is an established manufacturing business based in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. They are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their supportive finance team on a short-term temporary assignment.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will assist with the day-to-day accounts payable function, including invoice processing, supplier queries and reconciliations. This opportunity would suit someone with previous accounts payable experience who can provide immediate support.
The Challenge
Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing supplier invoices, supporting payment runs and resolving invoice discrepancies.
- Completing supplier statement, accounts payable and credit card reconciliations.
- Responding to supplier queries and maintaining accurate supplier records.
- Supporting month-end processes and general finance administration.
The Expertise
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Minimum 2 years of accounts payable experience.
- Experience processing invoices and completing supplier reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Sound Excel skills and confidence using accounting systems.
- Availability for an immediate start, or at short notice
