The Opportunity

Our client is an established manufacturing business based in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. They are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer with hands-on Pronto experience to provide immediate support to their finance team on a short-term temporary assignment.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take responsibility for day-to-day accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, payment runs, supplier queries and reconciliations. As the successful candidate will need to become productive quickly, previous experience using Pronto in an accounts payable environment is essential.

The Challenge

Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently using Pronto.
• Preparing and supporting payment runs.
• Completing supplier statement, accounts payable and credit card reconciliations.
• Investigating invoice discrepancies and responding to supplier queries.
• Maintaining accurate supplier records.
• Assisting with month-end processes and general finance administration.

The Expertise

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Hands-on Pronto experience within an accounts payable role.
• Minimum two years of accounts payable experience.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Sound Excel skills and clear communication.
• Availability for an immediate start, or at short notice
