The Opportunity

A great opportunity has become available for an experienced accounts payable professional to join a successful international retail organisation on Melbourne’s St Kilda Road.

The role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to take ownership of the entire accounts payable function working alongside a small and friendly team. An immediate start or close to will be viewed favourably. Experience with FX is a must – our client has several foreign currency bank accounts and calculations between AUD and multiple foreign currency occur daily. 

The Challenge

Reporting to the CFO, your key responsibilities will include:

• Processing local and international invoices in an accurate and timely manner
• Managing a volume of 400 invoices monthly
• End-of-month reconciliations
• Processing payment runs
• Filing and correct record keeping of suppliers
• Ad hoc tasks to support the finance team

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• 4+ years of experience in an end-to-end accounts payable position
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of workload
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal 
• Great attention to detail
• Experience working with FX in a complex processing environment 
• Eagerness to actively contribute to team results
• Experience with JDE will be highly desirable although not essential 
• Ability to work five days on-site at the St Kilda Road office
