The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced AP Specialist to join a rapidly expanding founder led retail group listed on the ASX. Growing organically and aggressively via acquisition they have a reputation for being at the forefront of their industry.

This role is suited to someone who will thrive in a high-volume, complex AP environment, where your focus will be on driving process automation, improving efficiency, and leveraging technology to enhance accounts payable operations. 

The Challenge

Reporting to the Financial Controller your key responsibilities will include the following:

• Hands on accounts payable processing of 1,000+ invoices on a monthly basis
• Designing, implementing and modifying processes and controls 
• Contributing to process automation and efficiency improvements
• Coordinating and executing payment schedules, liaising with internal teams and external vendors (both local and overseas) 
• Reconciling expenses and accounts 
• Identifying and solving discrepancies and issues related to supplier payments
• Preparing accurate financial reports and maintaining documentation in compliance with company policies

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• 5-10+ years of proven experience in senior accounts payable roles
• Strong understanding of AP processes and systems
• Demonstrated success in implementing automation or process improvements
• Tech-savvy with the ability to streamline workflows
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
• Must be Melbourne-based with full Australian working rights
