The Opportunity
Our client is an iconic Melbourne institute, offering a newly created Business Analyst role that will provide critical support across property and commercial insights. This role turns complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive smarter business decisions and enhance operational performance. You will play a key role in supporting strategic outcomes, streamlining processes, and ensuring robust compliance and governance standards across the business. Working in a fast-moving, customer-focused environment, you will collaborate with multiple teams, influence decision making, and contribute to initiatives that deliver measurable impact.
The Challenge
Reporting to the CFO your key responsibilities will include the following:
- Extracting, cleaning, and analysing data from multiple platforms to identify trends, measure performance, and provide actionable insights to support business decision-making.
- Developing dashboards and reports that clearly communicate key metrics, trends, and risks to internal stakeholders.
- Managing rent roll and outgoings estimates, performing monthly revenue reconciliations, and supporting budget and forecast preparation.
- Identifying patterns and anomalies in tenant performance to inform strategic property decisions.
- Engaging with Finance, IT, Property, and Experience teams to understand objectives and present actionable insights.
- Streamlining reporting processes, improving data integrity, and recommending system or process improvements.
- Modelling commercial outcomes for different contractual models and providing commentary to support operational and strategic decision.
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
- Skilled across Excel, Power BI or Tableau with confident turning large datasets into clear, commercial insights.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM/data platforms to extract and interpret business or operational data.
- Background in property, retail or asset management viewed favourably but not essential.
- Strong communicator. You are able to translate data for non-technical audiences and influence decision makers.
- Collaborative and adaptable, comfortable working across teams and systems.
- Commercially minded with a focus on delivering insight, efficiency, and measurable results.
