The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth, founder-led technology and services business at a pivotal point in its development. They are seeking a commercially-focused finance leader to partner directly with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team as the business evaluates a number of exciting strategic and capital pathways.

With an established operating platform, experienced leadership team and a broad customer base across commercial and government sectors, this role offers the opportunity to play a genuine part in shaping the future direction of the business.

This is not a traditional reporting-focused CFO position; the successful candidate will be a key commercial and strategic adviser to the CEO as the business enters its next phase of growth.
  
The Challenge

This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially minded finance executive who wants to combine full ownership of the finance function with genuine strategic influence.
  
Your responsibilities will include: 

• Leading the finance, treasury and reporting function, including statutory reporting, tax, audit, cash flow and working capital management
• Partnering directly with the CEO to provide commercial and financial advice on key strategic decisions
• Leading the company’s capital strategy, including debt facilities, equity raising and broader financing initiatives
• Managing relationships with lenders, institutional and private investors, and external advisers
• Evaluating and modelling potential strategic pathways, including acquisitions, mergers, growth equity and asset financing
• Supporting corporate development and transaction activity, including financial modelling, diligence and investment analysis
• Leading cash flow forecasting and ensuring appropriate alignment between cash requirements, working capital and growth initiatives
• Developing and maintaining high-quality management and Board reporting
• Driving commercial governance, including pricing, unit economics and margin analysis
• Supporting the continued development of financial systems, processes, controls and governance across the group
• Leading and developing the finance team as the business continues to scale

The Expertise
  
This opportunity is appropriate for a current Chief Financial Officer or Finance Director with previous experience working in a Saas, Tech or PE portfolio company. This is also an opportunity for an up and comer looking for their first CFO position. Furthermore it is likely you will possess:

• Finance leadership experience in fast paced dynamic growth environments
• Demonstrated ability to partner closely with CEOs, founders or senior leadership teams
• A hands-on leadership style, with the ability to operate across both strategic and operational priorities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executives, lenders, investors and advisers
• Proven capability to develop and lead high performance teams
