The Opportunity
  
This is an opportunity to join a diversified technology group as Chief Financial Officer. 

A portfolio company of some of the leading VC groups in the country, they are well funded with a clear mandate for rapid future growth. 
  
Deal-making, capital management, commercial negotiations, business development and customer engagement will all be core activities concurrent with the usual financial responsibilities of a traditional Chief Financial Officer. 

Ideally you have worked with VC/PE companies before, and have a track record scaling technology companies. 

The Challenge
  
This is an ideal role for an outstanding finance executive who wants to play a part in shaping the future direction of the business. The role will be challenging and exciting as you are overseeing the routine of the finance function while also being directly involved in complex commercial matters and the strategic direction of the business. 
   
Partnering with the CEO and the ELT your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the preparation of timely financial and management reports for the company
• Planning and directing the company’s strategic long term financial goals while evaluating existing plans
• Partnering with the CEO on all treasury, financing and debt management strategies for the company
• With the support of the CEO, take ownership of the investor relations function for the group 
• Leading a large team across financial accounting, tax, treasury, finance operations and FP&A. 
• Creating and maintaining an effective management performance framework for the company
• Coordinating all tax, audit matters and reporting matters
• Taking a lead role in driving improvements in systems and processes throughout the company
• Identify and evaluate strategic potential M&A activity, negotiate and finalise potential purchase agreements and integrate companies into the group

The Expertise

It is a given that you will be a top tier finance executive with a proven background in finance as a Chief Financial Officer or Finance Director. You are: 

• An experienced finance executive that is currently working as a CFO or 2IC of a VC/PE backed company. You will have M&A experience, and ideally you have assisted in preparing a business for an exit (trade sale or IPO)
• You began your career in investment banking, management consulting or with PwC, Deloitte, EY or KPMG
• Sector specific experience in technology or SaaS will be highly regarded
