The Opportunity
Our client is a private equity backed consumer business with a strong growth trajectory and national footprint. Operating in a fast paced, commercially driven environment, the business has continued to scale through a combination of organic growth and strategic initiatives.
They are seeking a Commercial Analyst to join a high performing finance team and support decision making across the business. This role will play a key part in delivering financial insights, supporting planning processes and partnering with key stakeholders to drive performance.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, your responsibilities will include:
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely financial plans
- Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives, scenario analysis and investment decisions
- Deliver detailed variance analysis and performance reporting, providing actionable insights to leadership
- Partner with sales, marketing and operations teams to support commercial decision making
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools, with Power BI highly regarded
- Analyse key business drivers including revenue, margin and cost performance to identify opportunities for improvement
- Assist in driving process improvements across reporting, planning and data integrity
- Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
The Expertise
To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualification, or working towards
- 3+ years of experience in a Commercial Analyst, FP&A or similar role
- Strong capability across financial modelling, budgeting and performance analysis
- Advanced Excel skills, with exposure to Power BI or similar tools viewed favourably
