The Opportunity
Join a fast-growing FMCG business committed to building a more sustainable and ethical food system. This is a high-impact, commercially focused role where you’ll partner closely with the CFO, Head of Supply Chain & Manufacturing, and broader leadership team.
As the key conduit between finance and operations, you will play a critical role in driving cost performance, improving visibility, and supporting strategic decision-making across manufacturing and supply chain.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and supporting the Head of Manufacturing:
- Lead the annual manufacturing and supply chain budgeting process
- Own standard costing across all SKUs, including detailed variance analysis
- Track and analyse warehouse, freight, and logistics costs (fixed and variable)
- Deliver weekly insights on cost performance, trends, and risks
- Partner with site stakeholders to manage costs against budget and forecast
- Support capital investment decisions through robust business case development
- Lead analysis and insights on inventory management and optimisation
- Support Sales and Marketing with financial analysis, identifying risks and opportunities
- Perform year-end close activities relating to inventory, freight, and logistics
The Expertise
We’re looking for someone who brings both technical strength and commercial curiosity:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- CA/CPA qualified
- 5+ years’ experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role
- Background in FMCG, manufacturing, or consumer goods is essential
- Strong experience in standard costing and variance analysis
- Familiarity with well-known ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
- Proactive, hands-on approach with an ability to driving outcomes
