The Opportunity

Our client is a respected global consumer goods group with a strong local footprint. The business has a high performing culture, and exceptional  leadership team. This is a key role for a senior commercial finance leader to join a growing ANZ team and be the 2IC to the local CFO. The role oversees three direct reports and is central in shaping commercial performance across the ANZ business. 

The Challenge

This role drives partnership with the Sales and Marketing leadership teams to steer financial performance and guide commercial choices. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading commercial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly insight packs
• Driving pricing strategy and reviewing biannual price decisions
• Providing product, channel, customer, and brand investment analysis
• Challenging and guiding trade spend, A&P allocation, and promotion strategy
• Supporting contract work across on-premise and major partners
• Owning P&L outcomes for a secondary market and guiding its planning cycle
• Shaping field incentive programs with sales operations
• Lifting the quality of reporting, controls, and insight across the commercial teams
• Driving process improvement across NPI, vendor spend, and commercial systems
• Acting as the senior commercial voice for sales and marketing leaders

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• CA or CPA qualification
• Experience in FMCG or consumer goods, with strength in commercial finance
• 8+ years in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment with people leadership
• Deep commercial skill across pricing, trade spend, planning, and business partnering
• Strong ability to work with Sales and Marketing leaders and shape outcomes
• Clear communication and strong analytical skill
• Hands-on style with a focus on improvement, efficiency, and insight
• Comfort with SAP, BW, Tableau or similar systems
