The Opportunity

A unique opportunity to join a dynamic high growth PE portfolio company,  overseeing the commercial finance function and tasked with enhancing the reporting and analytics of the business.

The company has a track record of growth and have successfully expanded to all the major states in Australia, growing both organically and through the successful execution of M&A activity. They are well positioned for further expansion in the immediate term. The executive management team is very strong, the board is cohesive and the private equity group is highly regarded.  

The Challenge

This is an ideal role for an individual with outstanding analytical experience as a commercial, business, or finance analyst looking to step up into a new and exciting challenge.
  
Reporting to the CFO, your responsibilities will include:

• Support the CFO and leadership team through the provision of insights & analytics enabling them to develop and execute strategic plans
• Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process, developing models to accurately forecast performance and providing monthly budgets driving accountability across business units
• Partnering closely with key business units including supply chain, sales, marketing and operations to ensure financial alignment and to drive performance across the business
• Providing financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions, including product pricing, new channel distribution, market expansion, and investments
• Conduct commercial reviews and financial analysis of key business opportunities and strategic projects
• Analyse business performance data, identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost reduction and recommend process improvements to enhance outcomes
• Developing and maintaining dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics
• Produce monthly board reports, management accounts, and other financial reports for senior leadership
• Support the business in pricing strategy, including major customer contracts and re-tenders, ensuring a rigorous approach to pricing decisions and margin optimisation

The Expertise

It is a given that you will be an experienced analyst who is ready and eager to step into a Commercial Finance Manager role. To be successful in this role it’s likely that you are either: 

• An experienced commercial finance, financial analysis, business intelligence or business partnering professional currently working within a Private Equity backed, high growth company.
• A proven analyst working within a parallel industry such as consumer goods, FMCG, wholesale, or retail. This will be advantageous but not essential.
• CA qualified, who began your career with KPMG, EY, Deloitte, PwC or a leading Mid-Tier accounting firm before progressing into an analytical role in a high growth company.
