The Opportunity

This dynamic and fast paced company has grown considerably over the past two decades and has a phenomenal pipeline of exciting projects underway in the immediate term. Unlike others in the field, they are in a very strong financial position and are a fully vertically integrated developer. 
  
Due to accelerated growth, this is a newly created commercial orientated role working closely with the Directors and Group CFO. The position will involve the analysis, presentation, deal closing and procuring of funding for projects. The Commercial Manager will lead the delivery of business cases, feasibility studies and provide strategic advice for new projects to the Directors.

Leading the commercial function for the business, additional responsibilities will include:

• Financial modelling and analysis of potential and current projects for the group
• Collaborate with senior management team to secure and deliver pipeline opportunities
• Negotiate, draft, and manage JV agreements with HNW investors and funders.  Ensure that all parties adhere to agreed terms and conditions
• Play a pivotal role in attracting opportunities that align with the group investment strategy
• Supporting the directors, you will assist in analysis of opportunities, take part in contract negotiations and evaluations
• Collaborate with senior management team to secure and deliver pipeline opportunities
• Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Monitor and control costs to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints
• Oversee strategic analysis and commercial inputs for operational and ad-hoc value add opportunities

The Expertise

The successful candidate will likely be;

• Possess 5 to 10 years in a similar role you will be in the mid-stages of your career. You will be ambitious, hands on and most likely looking for the next step in your career
• You will have likely started your career in a consulting firm in a Deals, Valuations, Transactions or Real Estate Advisory team.
• May have also begun your career in a graduate program at a large, reputable property developer. You may be the 2iC to the head of commercial/Transactions and looking to take the next step in your career
• Superior financial modelling ability
• Possess deep expertise in investment execution with strong knowledge of deal structuring and portfolio construction
• Significant experience in property development funding, private equity, Joint Venture Agreements or related fields
• Articulate and confident, you can present complex information concisely
• Naturally you possess deep experience presenting business cases and feasibility studies to boards, ELT and investors
