The Opportunity
This role presents as a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Credit and Accounts Receivable Manager who is looking to take the next step in their career and work within an established environment.
Our client is a successful food manufacturer and wholesaler with a reputation for being at the forefront of their industry. The role is based in their Head Office in Melbourne’s outer South-East suburbs.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Financial Controller, some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage the Customer Credit & Billing (CCB) team, covering onboarding, billing and credit management
- Set clear structure, priorities and workflows across shared inboxes, queues and work allocation
- Motivate, coach and support the team, including hands-on involvement during peak periods and escalations
- Oversee debtor’s ledger performance (size/age) through effective collections, processes and policies
- Develop and enhance credit policies, risk frameworks and credit assessment processes
- Build strong capability across ERP and credit systems
- Prepare, review and communicate KPI and performance reporting to stakeholders
- Partner with key stakeholders (Finance, Sales, Customer Service) to resolve issues and improve processes
- Identify operational improvements, ensure data accuracy, and drive continuous process optimisation
The Expertise
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
- 5+ years Credit, AR and Collections management experience.
- Experience leading and developing small to large teams whilst being a hands-on manager.
- High-level organisational skills, with the ability to set priorities, manage variable workloads and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
