The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established not-for-profit organisation seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their finance team.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will be responsible for delivering financial reporting, analysis, business partnering and operational support across the organisation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will provide insights to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement across the finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Finance Manager with experience across reporting, budgeting, forecasting, payroll and process improvement to join a purpose-driven organisation.
  
The Challenge
Reporting to the Head of Finance, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Leading month-end and year-end financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely delivery of financial information
• Preparing management reporting, financial analysis, budgets and forecasts to support strategic and operational decision-making
• Partnering with General Managers, executives and cost centre managers to provide financial insights and commercial advice
• Supporting cash flow forecasting and working capital management to ensure effective financial planning
• Overseeing payroll processes and ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely reporting
• Managing statutory reporting requirements including BAS, FBT and other compliance obligations
• Supporting grant acquittals and funding reporting requirements
• Assisting with external audit processes and providing required financial information and analysis
• Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting capabilities and operational efficiencies
• Supporting the enhancement of financial systems, controls and reporting frameworks
• Providing guidance and support across the broader finance function to ensure effective delivery of finance operations

The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest if you possess the following

• 5+ years’ experience within a Finance Manager, Senior Financial Accountant or similar role
• Strong experience across financial reporting, month-end, budgeting, forecasting and statutory compliance
• Demonstrated experience partnering with senior stakeholders and providing meaningful financial insights
• Experience overseeing payroll processes and supporting operational finance activities
• Previous experience within the not-for-profit, healthcare or community services sector will be highly regarded
