The Opportunity

Our client is a multi-award-winning company in the infrastructure sector, known to be an employer of choice in their space. On offer is a broad Finance Manager role encompassing reporting and compliance, while also being involved in FP&A and supporting with capital investments accounting. This is an ideal move for an existing Finance Manager or experienced Senior Accountant with staff management experience to broaden their skills within a friendly, supportive team environment.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Financial Controller, key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the preparation and presentation of consolidated management reports for internal management reporting purposes and to support the consolidated Annual Financial Statements;
• Co-ordinating the annual statutory audit;
• Financial accounting and tax compliance including managing the lodgement of the annual income tax return, GST, FBT and Payroll Tax;
• Overseeing the administration and control of fixed assets accounting and compliance;  
• Supporting with capital investment program accounting, including reviewing and contributing to project business cases;
• Supporting with treasury accounting such as treasury swaps and FX;
• Monthly board reporting, quarterly executive cost reporting, and assisting with the annual budget process; 
• Managing a team of 3 accountants

The Expertise

Ideally you will have:

• CPA/CA qualification
• Experience in professional services (audit or business services), followed by relevant experience in an industry role
• Strong technically with core skills across compliance and reporting, financial statements prep and providing accounting and taxation advice
• Experience with FP&A and PowerBI is useful, but can also be learned on the job
• Team player, highly organised and with strong attention to detail
