The Opportunity
The business is an industry leading, ASX listed infrastructure and engineering services group who have an impressive history of steady growth through fostering long-term relationships with its customers. They pride themselves on their collaborative culture with a focus on employee development. This opportunity would be responsible for providing a comprehensive financial and business partnering support to the largest division of the group and a key customer.
The Challenge
Reporting directly to the Divisional Financial Controller, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and develop a team of 4 analysts of varying experience levels
- Prepare and deliver periodic operational and management reports ensuring the reports accurately depict the trading result for the business unit
- Assisting the Senior Leadership Team with the development of the Annual Budget
- Undertake Profit & Loss review and analysis for during the month-end period, including accrual reviews, variance analysis and the provision of commentary on key performance drivers
- Monitoring the budgets, monthly forecasts and assisting with strategy development
- Drive strategy and planning for the division through ongoing business partnering with the GM of Operations, the Finance ELT and the Customer
- Developing, maintaining and evaluating rolling forecasts at both project and business unit level including trading performance, cashflow and working capital
- Assisting with the pricing build ups, other estimations of activity rates relating to existing business contracts to find cost efficiencies
- Implementing software initiatives and process improvements
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- You have worked extensively in a large complex business at a divisional level within any of the fields of construction/ engineering/ facilities management/ utilities and or infrastructure with a strong focus on cost initiatives
- You must thrive on a good challenge and have the resilience to manage difficult conversations and enjoy the responsibility of driving commercial outcomes
- CA/CPA qualification
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to build rapport with all levels of stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines and work both autonomously and as a team
- Experience leading a small but highly capable team is preferred
