The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a leading and well known organisation experiencing sustained growth. Reporting to the Financial Controller this role will lead and mentor juniors and play a key role in a high performing finance function. You will assist with financial reporting, tax, transaction accounting whilst gaining exposure to controls, treasury, financing structures and the executive leadership team.    

The Challenge
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with the financial reporting process and the implementation of effective accounting controls framework.
• Collaborating with and mentoring junior accountants in order to ensure effective and accurate financial reporting and compliance with all financial regulations and procedures.
• Play a key role in continuous improvement projects and system focused automation initiatives
• Work closely with the FC in delivering month end, quarterly and annual reporting for internal and external stakeholders
• Tax compliance for the group including income tax and deferred tax calculations, land tax, GST, FBT
• Exposure to treasury matters including cash flow forecasting and debt facilities 

The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• CA qualified
• Ideally you are a Manager or Assistant Manager within a Big 4 or Mid tier-chartered accounting firm looking for your first move, OR 
• You are a Senior Accounting with prior chartered experience working in a broad accounting role at a large complex organisation 
• Ability to be hands-on with experience driving high performance across a team-oriented environment
• Superior financial reporting and technical accounting knowledge 
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to collaborate with and influence internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of capital intensive businesses will be looked upon favourably
