The Opportunity

Our client is a leading global funds management firm with a global presence. Through deep industry expertise and a hands-on approach to their investment philosophy, they seek to generate long-term value for their investors. 

Due to continued growth, they have created a new Finance Manager role as part of their high-performing finance function. The CFO is excellent and he is looking to hire a bright, driven and energetic Finance Manager to elevate the function and help the firm on its next stage of growth. This is truly an exciting, broad and varied role for the right person. 

The Challenge

Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, your responsibilities will include: 

• Oversee and manage the preparation of financial statements 
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, including IFRS/GAAP, and industry-specific regulations
• Manage fund performance reporting, including preparation of quarterly and annual reports for investors
• Monitor fund cash flow, including distributions, and liquidity management
• Support with the development of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts
• Support investment teams to model and assess the financial implications of new investments and fund structures
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies during audits, tax filings, and compliance reviews
• Manage relationships with external service providers, such as fund administrators, auditors, financial institutions, and legal advisors
• Preparing financial presentations for investors and management

The Expertise 

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• CA / CPA qualified
• Ideally you are at the Assistant Manager/Manager level at KPMG, EY, PwC or Deloitte with an Asset Management portfolio.
• Alternatively, you are the Financial Accountant / Senior Accountant or Finance Manager level with Asset Management or Funds Management corporate experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to form and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
