The Opportunity 

An exciting opportunity to be the first inhouse finance hire in a popular, growing ecommerce / retail business with a growing global presence. As the Finance Manager, you will partner with the Owner and provide visibility and clarity on the financial performance of the business. You will have opportunity to grow your career and become the CFO whilst building a finance function in time. 

This position is suited to someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of a business and is eager to play a key role in driving financial performance. You will bring confidence to take initiative and add valuable insights. You will be comfortable operating in the detail with more routine finance tasks while you will have a growth mindset whereby you can improve and support the commercial decision making for the business.

The Challenge 

As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping their financial strategy and ensuring operational excellence. Your responsibilities will involve but not be limited to:

• Managing daily finance operations, including financial planning – forecasting, analysis and providing actionable insights 
• Completing month end, including balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing monthly financial reporting through to Directors and the General Manager
• Preparing annual budgets 
• Analysis of financial data and collaborate with wider business divisions 
• Preparing payroll, accounts payable and receivable 
• Identifying and improving systems and processes

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• You are a qualified CA or CPA with 6-9 years of professional working experience
• You are excited by fast growing and progressive environments
• Experience in hands-on, senior finance roles will be looked upon favourably; especially if you have private business consumer good experience.
• Demonstrated communication skills and ability to suit a close-knit stable team environment with a warm, open and engaging style with the ability to build trust and influence key stakeholders.
