The Opportunity 

Our client, is one of Victoria’s largest privately owned property developers in Australia. Due to continued growth, the business is seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function supporting one of thier flagship projects
Reporting into senior finance leadership, this is a broad commercial finance role where you will oversee financial reporting, project accounting, treasury, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting across a diverse portfolio. 

Working closely with senior executives, development managers, investors, lenders and external advisers, this position offers exceptional exposure to one of Victoria’s most significant property developments.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Deputy CFO, your key responsibilities include:

• Lead the finance function supporting a Joint Venture and associated property development entities.
• Prepare monthly management reports, board reporting and financial analysis for senior leadership and investors.
• Oversee financial accounting, statutory reporting and compliance across multiple entities.
• Partner with development managers to provide commercial insights on project performance, cash flow and forecasting.
• Manage treasury activities, funding requirements and lender reporting.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning across major development projects.
• Lead and mentor an offshore finance team responsible for transactional processing and monthly reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, systems and finance processes across the business.

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• CA or CPA qualification and trained at a reputable chartered accounting firm. Possibly you are making your first move, alternatively you have demonstrated experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Financial Accountant or Commercial Finance professional within the property space. 
• Strong financial reporting, management accounting and business partnering capability.
• Experience within property, construction, infrastructure or complex project-based organisations will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage with executives, investors, auditors and external advisers.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach with a desire to influence decision-making within a growing business.
