The Opportunity
This tier one property group has grown considerably over the past five years and has a significant pipeline of exciting projects underway in the immediate term. They are in a very strong financial position and are a fully vertically integrated developer. The position will work closely with the development, asset management and funds management divisions.
The Challenge
As an integral member of the leadership team, the Finance Manager is actively involved in all material business decisions and will support the Chief Financial Officer in key strategic decision making. The core responsibilities will include:
- Budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and tax planning
- Accurate and timely delivery of management reports and other financial information
- Financial reporting, delivering of month end duties, tax compliance and the audit process
- Strategic liaison with key stakeholders including operations managers and other key executives
- Balance sheet and working capital management
- Developing and delivering performance measures (KPIs) for the group and business divisions
- Overseeing the transactional accounting and company payroll
- Supporting the senior leadership team in leading and directing the business by mentoring, performance managing and re allocating resources where appropriate
- Actively identifying process improvement opportunities
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- Industry experience in property development, asset management, funds management or construction experience
- Ideally, you may have commenced your career in a mid-tier or large chartered firm and are CA qualified and have since transitioned into a relevant property development/asset management industry role
- Candidates with property and construction clients in a professional services accounting environment seeking their first move to industry will also be considered
- Previous experience using Yardi, MRI or similar industry systems is mandatory
- Superior financial accounting and management reporting skills
- Outstanding communication skill and demonstrated business partnering ability
- High achievement drive and a natural flair to work in a dynamic, fast paced and rapidly expanding group
- Our client is expanding rapidly, this position could be considered temporary to permanent or pure contract in nature
