The Opportunity
A leading Australian renewables and infrastructure group backed by a respected global investment manager is entering its next phase of growth and strengthening its finance capability. With a collaborative leadership team and a growing portfolio of high-quality assets, the business is focused on building a modern, insight-led finance function that underpins performance, accountability and long-term value creation.
As Finance Manager, you will lead the accounting and reporting function whilst managing a high-performing team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will oversee month-end close, statutory reporting and compliance, whilst driving process improvements and embedding best practice. Acting as a key business partner to the broader business, you will ensure financial integrity, deliver timely insights and support both performance and strategic decision-making.
The Challenge
As a critical member of the finance leadership team your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a high performing team across all aspects of financial reporting, compliance and governance
- Overseeing the month-end close process, including journals, reconciliations, and review of financials
- Delivering accurate and timely financial and management reports with actionable insights
- Maintaining fixed asset registers and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and internal policies
- Supporting the annual audit process with complete and accurate reporting
- Driving process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, timeliness and efficiency across finance operations
- Partnering with the broader business and FP&A to support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and performance management
- Acting as the key finance contact for operational teams, providing commercial advice and clear financial visibility
- Promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance within the team
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- CA/CPA qualified with a strong technical accounting foundation
- Career beginnings in Big 4 or a leading mid-tier accounting firm, building a solid grounding in financial reporting and controls
- Proven leadership experience managing staff in a financial reporting environment
- Background in infrastructure, asset management, or adjacent project-driven sectors is highly regarded
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and compliance requirements
- Experience in driving process improvements and building robust financial governance
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively across finance and operations
- Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
