The Opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly regarded commercial construction business recognised for sustained growth and market innovation. The company is seeking an accomplished Finance Manager to support its next phase of expansion. With an experienced leadership team, strong culture, and significant growth opportunities, this role will suit a distinguished finance leader with a growth mindset and flair for process improvement and transformation. 

The Challenge

As a key member of the finance team, the Finance Manager will play an important role in ensuring the business has robust financial information and processes to support its ongoing growth. Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, the core responsibilities for this role will include:

• Leading the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and management information
• Providing commercially focused financial insights and partnering with operational leaders to support business performance
• Maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring the integrity of core finance systems, processes and transactions
• Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll and working capital processes
• Managing the Company’s taxation, statutory reporting and compliance obligations
• Supporting the CFO with financial analysis, reporting and insights to inform key business decisions
• Analysing profitability, margins, project performance and operating costs against budget and forecast expectations
• Identifying opportunities to improve finance systems, processes and controls, driving greater efficiency across the function
• Developing the finance team and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement

The Expertise

• Industry experience in construction, property development or project based industry
• Superior financial reporting, audit and taxation experience
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
• A growth mindset, with a track record of challenging the status quo and driving strategic business initiatives

• A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on strengthening financial controls and enhancing the commercial business partnering capability
