The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a bright ambitious senior accountant or junior finance manager to join a growing property and funds management business. An exciting and broad role that will continue to assume additional responsibilities as the company expands. The position includes fund accounting, financial control and commercial analysis duties, acting as a 2IC to an impressive, forward thinking CFO and managing a small team.
The business has a track record of growing successfully via acquisition and they have established themselves as well respected and progressive within the industry. The successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to partner with key stakeholders and play a lead role in the growth strategy of the group.
The Challenge
Reporting to the CFO and supporting the CEO, COO and other key stakeholders in the business, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparation of statutory financials and managing year end audit process
- Provide budgets and financial planning to support the ELT and Board in achieving the Group’s strategic and growth objectives
- Business partnering with relevant operational stakeholders including Asset and Trust Management teams
- Prepare monthly trust journals to reflect debt, intercompany transfers, distributions, prepayment and accrual adjustments
- Management and monitoring of ongoing cash flow requirements
- Continual improvements to the financial reporting frameworks and models
- Provide day to day management and direction to the Finance team as well as oversee payroll function
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- CA/CPA qualified with between 5-8 years experience.
- Possibly you have completed a few years within a professional services firm and gained experience working with property, funds management, family office or mid size growing private organisations.
- You could also have developed your career working within a related property or private business as a senior accountant or group accountant and now looking to take the next step in your career.
- Demonstrated communication skills and ability to suit a close-knit stable team environment with a warm, open and engaging style.
- Demonstrate a commercial mindset with the ability to analyse financial information and actively support key business growth initiatives.
