The Opportunity

Our client is a growing Australian fin-tech with an international presence. They pride themselves on creating an extremely fun, social office environment while also continuing to grow year on year. This is an ideal role for an Accounts Payable officer looking to expand their skillset, or for an experience Finance/Accounts Officer looking to join a close knit team. 

The successful candidate will have demonstrated Accounts Payable experience, a go-getter personality, and the ability to adapt to a fast paced and busy environment. Ideally you will be proactive, organised and feel confident in your communication with a wide range of stakeholders. Our client offers WFH 2 days/week, with staff drinks every Thursday. 

The Challenge

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate responsibilities will include:

• Processing supplier invoices in AUD as well as other currencies
• Ensuring 3-way match against PO, invoice, and delivery notes
• Reconciling vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies / disputes
• Responding to internal and external vendor enquiries and following up any outstanding items
• Processing a low volume of accounts receivables, including the following up of overdue accounts 
• Assisting with daily banking and reconciliations 
• Assisting with month-end duties such as posting journals and reconciliations as required 

The Expertise

Please consider applying for the role if you have the following:

• 2+ years accounting function experience
• Proactive and confident dealing with a range of stakeholders
• Developed problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in the tech sector would be advantageous 
• Experience with MYOB or Netsuite is advantageous
