The Opportunity
A newly created Finance Operations Lead role offers the opportunity to become a key finance leader within a successful, family owned Australian FMCG business. You will have genuine exposure to decision makers, the ability to influence outcomes, and the autonomy to implement meaningful improvements without the layers of bureaucracy often found in larger corporates. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the finance function, partnering with the wider business on commercial projects and strategic initiatives as the organisation continues to grow. Supporting a small finance team, you will take a hands on leadership approach, providing guidance across AP, AR and payroll while remaining close enough to the detail to ensure strong controls, accurate reporting and continuous improvement.
The Challenge
Reporting to the CFO, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading month end reporting, financial controls and cash flow management across the business.
- Driving automation, AI initiatives and continuous improvement to modernise the finance function.
- Developing commercial reporting, KPIs and profitability analysis to support business performance.
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and business planning in partnership with operational leaders.
- Coaching a small team while strengthening systems, processes and governance.
- Supporting strategic projects, commercial analysis and broader business initiatives alongside the CFO.

- CA/CPA qualified (or working towards) with a degree in Accounting or Finance
