The Opportunity

Our client is regarded as a true market leader in their industry. The company continues to enhance its product offering whilst strengthening its competitive advantage. The company has experienced significant growth, both organic and via M&A and envisages this to continue over the medium term.  Because of this they are seeking to employ a Finance Manager – Shared Services to lead their transactional accounting team and a Financial Accountant with a focus on process improvement and automation.

This is a highly visible leadership role with a key focus on process improvement, change management and superior leadership.  

The Challenge

Leading a team across all facets of AP, AR and banking and intercompany accounting, you will drive change and lead process improvements whilst ensuring efficient and timely running of the finance operations for the organisation. This is a newly created position. Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Develop and deliver the finance shared services road map
• Lead, support and develop the transactional accounting team
• Identifying and driving process improvements and business re-engineering opportunities
• Enhancing and automating reporting for AR, AP and Credit teams
• Monitor quality and authorisation compliance of policy and processes 
• Assist with the external audit process
• Manage intercompany and related party recharges, including preparation of journals and invoices.
• Provide support to Group Finance on consolidated reporting and compliance matters
• Escalation of overdue debtors and tracking of unapproved invoices 
• Monitor quality and authorisation compliance of policy and processes
• Lead, support and develop a medium sized shared service team including management of workloads and delegation 
• Develop a continuous improvement team culture

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Strong communication skills and proven experience supporting and leading a team
• Demonstrated change management experience where you have led significant process improvements and automation
• Possibly, you are a CA, CPA Finance Manager who is overseeing a transactional finance team
• Possibly, you are an experienced Transactional/Shared Services/Finance Manager having led large teams across both small and large companies
• Prior experience establishing or restructuring a finance shared services department will be looked upon favourably
