The Opportunity

A growing Australian business is seeking an immediately available Financial Accountant to join its finance team on a six-month contract.
Working across a complex group structure and multiple operating entities, the role will focus on statutory reporting, consolidations and external audit requirements.

This opportunity would suit an audit-trained accountant seeking their first commercial role or an experienced Financial Accountant available for their next contract. Candidates on a Working Holiday Visa are encouraged to apply.

The Challenge

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing General Purpose Financial Statements across multiple consolidated groups
• Supporting multi-entity consolidations, eliminations and technical accounting matters
• Coordinating external audit requirements and preparing supporting documentation
• Maintaining accounting policies, financial controls and audit-ready records
• Assisting with senior management and board-level financial reporting
• Working closely with finance team members, auditors and external advisers

The Expertise

To be successful, you will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
• CA, CPA, ACA or equivalent qualification, or progress towards completion
• Strong external audit or financial accounting experience
• Exposure to statutory reporting, GPFS and multi-entity consolidations
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills
• Immediate or short-notice availability
• Valid Australian working rights for the full six-month contract, including Working Holiday Visa holders
