The Opportunity
Our client is an established education institution with a strong reputation within the Sydney community. They are looking for support in their finance team for the next 3-6 months. 

This is a broad, hands on role reporting into senior finance leadership, with genuine ownership across financial reporting, compliance, treasury and month end processes.

The Challenge
Reporting into the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

• Lead month end activities including revenue reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, journal processing and full balance sheet reconciliations
• Partner with department heads to deliver accurate monthly reporting
• Support treasury activities including cashflow reporting, liquidity monitoring and balance sheet oversight
• Assist with statutory and tax compliance requirements including BAS and corporate obligations
• Contribute to internal and external audit processes
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles where required

The Expertise
To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• CA, CPA or ACA qualification
• A minimum of 6-12+ months of experience in a similar role
• A hands on approach with the ability to operate effectively in a lean, high performing team
• High attention to detail with sound commercial judgement
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to partner effectively with senior stakeholders across the business
