The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a leading and well known organisation possessing strong growth potential. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer this role will oversee a large and high performing finance team and is a key part of a highly regarded leadership team. You will have end to end ownership of financial reporting, compliance and controls, and have several improvement and optimisation projects to dive into from the outset.   

The Challenge

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• The production of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and management reports
• Leadership of financial operations including credit, collections and billings
• Establish and maintain appropriate internal financial controls and risk management safeguards
• Manage the statutory taxation obligations, including preparing tax calculation work papers
• Monitoring day to day cashflow and treasury operations including banking relationships
• Oversee and drive processes for streamlining and improving accounts receivable
• Managing the relationship with external auditors and leading the annual audit process including the audit plan and timeline
• Effectively monitoring and communicating the group’s capital requirements and coordinating with CFO on funds flow

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• CA / CPA qualified with relevant financial leadership experience
• Ideally Big4 or Mid tier-chartered accounting experience prior to your successful transition into industry
• Ability to be hands-on with proven experience driving financial performance across a team-oriented environment
• Superior financial reporting and technical accounting experience
• Experience in the development of internal controls and financial policies
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to collaborate with and influence internal and external stakeholders
• Previous experience in a capital intensive environment will be looked upon favourably
