The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a rapidly expanding PE/VC backed renewable energy company and fund manager as Financial Controller. Reporting to an excellent CFO, you will have end to end oversight of the finance function.
The Challenge
Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Ensure implementation of accounting excellence across the group including acquisition integrations and alignment of acquired companies to group policies
- Plan, implement, manage, and run all financial activities including business planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- The production of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and management reports
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the group’s financial processes and governance including the establishment of reporting processes, monthly cadence, finance systems and materials for board
- Establish and maintain appropriate internal financial control and risk management safeguards to support growth
- Partner portfolio/acquired companies to understand business objectives and identify and implement improvements to maximise the business objectives
- Driving process improvement initiatives and implementing financial control strategies to support business expansion plans
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- CA/CPA qualified and ideally chartered trained prior to your successful transition into industry
- Industry experience within infrastructure/energy markets/electricity retailing or property REIT
- Experience in controls implementations and business process improvements
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to collaborate with and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Self-starter who can build relationships across the business
- Passionate with high achievement drive and a can-do attitude
- It is a given you will possess superior financial accounting and management reporting experience
- A natural leader, capable of building a high-performing team
