The Opportunity
Our client is a successful ASX-listed biotechnology company. Following commercial success and continued growth, they are seeking a newly created Financial Reporting Manager to join the team.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will act as the technical accounting lead for the Group, taking ownership of statutory reporting, accounting policy, audit management and governance activities across both Australian and international operations.
The company operates on a fully remote basis, with occasional team catch-ups in Melbourne. The role can be worked either full-time or across a 30-hour week, offering flexibility around how and when you work. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone seeking a technical ASX-listed accounting role, with strong support, while maintaining the flexibility to balance family or other commitments.
The Challenge
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the preparation of half-year and full-year statutory financial statements under IFRS
- Owning ASX reporting requirements, including results announcements and supporting disclosures
- Managing the Group external audit process from planning through to completion
- Maintaining accounting policies and preparing technical accounting position papers
- Providing technical advice across complex accounting areas including share-based payments, revenue recognition and foreign currency matters
- Supporting group consolidation and multi-entity reporting requirements
- Supporting ESG and sustainability reporting initiatives
- Assisting with Board reporting, Annual Report preparation and broader corporate projects
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- CA/CPA qualification
- Experience within financial reporting, technical accounting or external audit – Big 4 or mid-tier chartered background highly regarded
- Strong understanding of consolidations, disclosures and external audit processes
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare technical accounting papers
- Self-motivated, high professional standards and a desire to contribute to a close-knit team who value continuous improvements
