The Opportunity
  
This is an opportunity to join the executive team of a successful PE backed retail business with a Sydney head office. The company’s recent success has been underpinned by their ability to invest strategically and build market share domestically. Their executive management team is very strong and they are poised for an exciting period of further growth.
  
This is a brilliant role for a finance executive who is currently the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, Head of Finance or General Manager Finance with a leading retail business. Private Equity experience is desirable.

The Challenge
  
This role supports the leadership team and it is responsible for overseeing and setting the future direction of the finance function. This role will be both exciting and challenging as you are overseeing the routine of the function whilst also being directly involved in strategic growth and commercial matters.
  
Partnering with the executive leadership team, your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the leadership of the finance team, and stakeholder management of the EGM and Board
• Key partner to the ELT and other GM’s in identifying commercial opportunities and driving performance
• Lead the group integrated planning and performance framework including group budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning
• Responsible for financial control outcomes including the financial accounting, tax, and treasury/funding functions
• Manage and influence key external relationships including debt, audit and regulators
• Leading and influencing a large team of 20+ staff
• Develop a capable and flexible finance team that is adaptable to business challenges as they arise
• Corporate development activity as required
