The Opportunity
 
Our client is an ASX listed business with revenues in excess of $1bn that is growing through acquisition, and they have a Melbourne head office.

This is a great position for a first mover from a Chartered firm who has a desire to work in a large, listed organisation going through a period of investment and growth.

There will be a significant opportunity for career development in this role. As the business grows and the finance team matures, your progression path would be into Senior Group Accounting role, FP&A or business partnering.

The Challenge

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Completion of month-end activities including posting month-end journals, consolidation of financial results and preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations for the parent Company
• Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements as part of month-end, half-year and year-end reporting processes, including preparation of financial statement note disclosures and analysis of financial statement balances
• Assist with the half-year and year-end audit process, including provision of information and responding to audit queries in a timely manner
• Assist with cash reporting and cash forecasting

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Ideally you will be a CA/CPA with 3-5 years experience in a reputable Chartered accounting firm.
• Conversely, you may be already working in a group or divisional accounting function at large, complex ASX organisation
• You will possess strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to liaise with all levels within the firm
• Be a collaborative team player
